After graduating from The University of Virginia with a B.S. in Architecture, Kate lived in Montana for 10 years working in architecture and interior design, then in high-end hospitality management at the only private ski and golf club in the world. Kate naturally made her way back from the Rockies to the Blue Ridge, and was a sales director at a Charlottesville hospitality group specializing in upscale vacation rentals and wine tours. When Betty and Doug became empty nesters from Maryland, searching for a retirement location, one visit to Wintergreen and they were blown away with the beauty of the area and all that this unique community has to offer. They decided to trade the water for the mountains, bought a homesite at elevation 2000 feet and built a home in 2000. After many years of helping buyers and sellers in Maryland to realize their goals and dreams of living on or near the water, Betty has brought her real estate sales experience to the Wintergreen area. She finds it a joy to introduce to new owners this unique and very strong community and the spectacular recreational opportunities which are part of Wintergreen Resort. Betty is a native of Baltimore, graduate of Smith College, with a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.
