Wintergreen Real Estate Company opened the doors to a new sales/rental office and café on Wintergreen Mountain in late December. Wintergreen Real Estate’s new mountaintop Discovery Center features leading-edge tools designed to help property owners and guests of the Resort learn everything there is to learn about Wintergreen and the surrounding area. Touch-screen displays in the office lobby house interactive property maps and mountain guides, and showcase a suite of area videos, including a Nelson County Wine Tour.
The 3,000 square-foot Discovery Center, adjacent to the Wintergarden Spa, allows Wintergreen Real Estate Company to provide a new level of customer service to those looking to buy, sell, rent or learn more about property on and around Wintergreen. The Discovery Center is designed to be a one-stop-shop for all information about Wintergreen and the surrounding areas - including everything from the Resort’s amenities to local vineyards, hiking trails to historical attractions, and upcoming performing arts shows to local craftsmen.

Inspired by Apple and other technology leaders, Wintergreen Real Estate Company ventured beyond the limits of the standard real estate office environment and created a full-service information center equipped with the latest in interactive technology and high-definition media tools. All programs featured in the Discovery Center, including the touch-screen applications as well as the suite of video tours, are custom designed and produced for Wintergreen Real Estate Company and are unique to the real estate industry itself.
Attached to the Discovery Center, the Black Bear Café offers gourmet coffee and other drinks (beer and wine coming soon!), delicious breakfast foods and desserts, as well as homemade soups, sandwiches and fresh-baked breads. The café features free wireless Internet, newspapers including the New York Times, Washington Post and Richmond Times Dispatch, as well as seasonal adventure movies for kids and a comfortable place to relax and socialize. With the addition of the new mountaintop office and café, the agents of Wintergreen Real Estate Company are excited to better serve their mountain clients and guests of the Resort.
